Description:
The HIKMICRO THUNDER 3.0 TQ35CL is a high-performance thermal clip-on combining a 640 × 512, 12μm thermal sensor, exceptional <15 mK NETD sensitivity, a versatile 35mm F1.0 lens and an integrated 1000m laser rangefinder. It is designed to add premium thermal capability to an existing daytime riflescope while retaining the familiar shooting position and optical setup.
Its 35mm objective delivers an excellent balance between field of view and reach. The TQ35CL provides a wide 21.9m × 14.0m field of view at 100 metres and thermal detection out to 1800 metres, making it particularly effective for scanning and target acquisition across woodland, hedgerows and open ground.
The high-resolution 640 × 512 sensor provides substantially more native detail than the 384px TH35C, while the <15 mK NETD helps reveal small temperature differences in difficult conditions such as fog, humidity and low thermal contrast. HIKMICRO’s shutterless HSIS technology also provides smooth, continuous thermal viewing without the regular image freezes associated with conventional shutter calibration.
A major feature of the TQ35CL is its integrated 905nm Class 1 laser rangefinder, measuring targets from approximately 10 metres out to 1000 metres with a stated accuracy of ±1 metre. The rangefinder is built directly into the unit, avoiding the need to carry a separate handheld LRF.
In clip-on configuration the unit operates at 1×, with HIKMICRO specifying compatibility with day-scope magnification up to approximately 15×. When configured as a standalone thermal monocular with the appropriate eyepiece, magnification extends from 2.0× to 16.0×, adding useful versatility away from the rifle.
The image is displayed through a high-resolution 0.49-inch 1920 × 1080 OLED display. Six thermal palettes are available — Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot, Fusion, Red Monochrome and Green Monochrome — together with warm and cold image-tone options.
Additional features include on-board video and audio recording, photo capture, recoil-activated recording, Wi-Fi connectivity, five zeroing profiles and 64GB of built-in EMMC storage. The magnesium-alloy housing is rated to withstand recoil up to 1000g / 0.4ms and carries an IP67 weather-resistance rating.
Power comes from a replaceable rechargeable Li-ion battery pack, providing at least 5 hours of continuous operation at 25°C with the hotspot switched off and the LRF enabled. USB-C supports direct charging and external power.
At approximately 525g including the battery, the TQ35CL remains compact despite combining a 640px sensor and integrated LRF. For shooters looking to retain their existing daytime optic while adding high-resolution thermal imaging, sub-15 mK sensitivity, 1800m detection and 1000m laser rangefinding, it is one of the most capable 35mm clip-ons in the THUNDER 3.0 range.
