Description:
The HIKMICRO THUNDER 3.0 TQ50CL is a premium long-range thermal clip-on combining a high-resolution 640 × 512, 12μm thermal sensor, exceptional <15 mK NETD sensitivity, a 50mm F1.0 objective lens and an integrated 1000m laser rangefinder. It is designed to convert a conventional daytime riflescope into a high-performance thermal system while allowing the shooter to retain their familiar optic and rifle setup.

The 50mm objective is geared towards longer-range use, providing a thermal detection range of up to 2600 metres and a field of view of 15.4m × 12.3m at 100 metres. In clip-on configuration the unit operates at , with HIKMICRO specifying suitability for day scopes up to approximately 15× magnification.

Its highly sensitive <15 mK thermal detector helps reveal very small temperature differences, maintaining target and background detail in difficult conditions such as rain, fog and low thermal contrast. HIKMICRO’s HSIS shutterless technology removes the regular image freezes associated with conventional shutter calibration, while Image Pro 4.0 and Sync Pro further enhance image detail and responsiveness.

A major feature of the TQ50CL is its integrated 905nm Class 1 laser rangefinder, measuring targets from approximately 10 metres to 1000 metres with a stated accuracy of ±1 metre. HIKMICRO integrates the LRF into the lens assembly, preserving the compact clip-on form factor rather than adding a bulky external rangefinder module.

The thermal image is displayed through a high-resolution 0.49-inch 1920 × 1080 OLED display. Six thermal palettes are available, including White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Fusion, Red Monochrome and Green Monochrome, together with selectable warm and cold image tones.

When fitted with the appropriate THUNDER 3.0 eyepiece, the TQ50CL can also be used as a standalone thermal monocular, providing approximately 2.8× to 22.4× magnification. This gives the unit additional flexibility for scanning and observation away from the rifle.

Additional features include Zoom Pro, Picture-in-Picture, Hot Track, photo capture, video and audio recording, recoil-activated recording, local album playback, Wi-Fi connectivity, one-shot zeroing, five zeroing profiles and 64GB of built-in storage.

The magnesium-alloy body is IP67 rated and designed to withstand recoil up to 1000g / 0.4ms. Power comes from a replaceable rechargeable Li-ion battery pack, providing at least 5 hours of continuous operation at 25°C with the hotspot switched off and LRF enabled.

For shooters looking to retain their existing daytime riflescope while adding 640px thermal imaging, sub-15 mK sensitivity, 2600m detection and integrated 1000m rangefinding, the HIKMICRO THUNDER 3.0 TQ50CL is the long-range flagship of the THUNDER 3.0 clip-on range.
