If a spotting scope has to be carried rather than simply left beside a vehicle or firing point, the 16-48×65 format makes a great deal of sense. GPO’s PASSION 65 mm APO keeps the body to roughly 1.3 kg while retaining a serious zoom range and premium corrected optical system.

The APO/ED design is intended to reduce chromatic fringing around high-contrast subjects and retain fine detail at higher magnification. A 4 m close focus makes the scope useful at surprisingly short distances too, while the magnesium housing, nitrogen filling and IPX5 rating suit regular outdoor use.
