The Bergara BMR Steel is a precision-focused rimfire rifle built around a compact micro-action derived from Bergara’s larger B-series centerfire actions. It features a carbon-steel barrel with a match-grade chamber and a threaded muzzle (1/2-28”), allowing the use of moderators or muzzle devices. The rifle feeds from detachable 5- or 10-round magazines, depending on the configuration, and uses a two-position safety mounted on the action.

The BMR Steel is designed to provide the feel of a full-size rifle in a lightweight platform. It accepts standard Remington-700 pattern scope bases, giving a broad range of optics-mounting options. Barrel lengths for the steel version are typically offered in 18″ or 20″, with calibre-specific twist rates to stabilise a wide variety of rimfire loads (.22 LR and .22 WMR in 1:16, .17 HMR in 1:9).

The stock is a compact composite design with textured grip panels and a straight-line comb for consistent cheek weld. Combined with its match chamber, crisp adjustable trigger and barrel options, the BMR Steel is suitable for small-game work, target shooting and precision rimfire disciplines where repeatable accuracy is essential.
