The Buck 664 Alpha Hunter Backcountry takes the Alpha Hunter shape in a tougher, lower-maintenance direction: a Cerakote-finished 3.625-inch 420HC drop-point blade, aggressive jimping, a high-grip Versaflex and glass-filled nylon handle, and a black Kydex sheath ready for wet, dirty field conditions.

PRODUCT DETAILS

The Alpha Hunter Backcountry is the hard-use, weather-ready member of Buck’s 664 family. Its 3.625-inch drop-point blade keeps the compact control of the Alpha Hunter, but uses 420HC stainless steel with a Cerakote finish to suit hunters who value easy maintenance and corrosion resistance.

Buck adds jimping along the spine for extra thumb control and wraps the full-tang handle in a combination of Versaflex rubber and glass-filled nylon. The result is a secure, confidence-inspiring grip when gloves, rain or field dressing make a smooth handle less than ideal.

Instead of leather, the Backcountry comes with a black Kydex sheath and belt attachment. It is a practical Alpha for the hunter who wants performance first and does not mind getting the knife properly dirty.
