Full Description
The 692 Vanguard is built for the hunter who wants one dependable fixed blade rather than a specialist for every stage of the job. Its 4.125-inch drop-point blade gives a strong balance of belly, tip control and reach for field dressing, skinning and general camp cutting.
Buck uses Bos heat-treated 420HC stainless steel, valued for its corrosion resistance and straightforward sharpening. The textured rubber handle is shaped to stay secure in the hand, while a brass guard and pommel bring some of the weight and visual character of Buck’s traditional hunting knives.
Supplied with a heavy-duty black polyester sheath, the 692 is a very usable, low-maintenance version of the Vanguard concept — built to spend time on the belt rather than in a display case.
